Zoom Use - Guidance from Sussex Police

Advice on caring for pets during the outbreak

Domestic Violence
In this very testing of times, we are aware that there has been a surge in the number of cases of domestic violence  since the start of the coronavirus lockdown.  On social media recently there has been help offered  to support victims of domestic abuse through the use of code words, such as make up etc. Although on the surface this seems a good idea, it is also dangerous. Mobile phones can’t be monitored 24 hours a day and so it is very possible that  a message from someone reaching out asking for help could be missed.
The best support we can give during these times is through signposting victims to professional support networks. We have listed a few below.

In an emergency a victim should call 999. If they can’t speak they can use the silent service by dialing 55 and the police will know it is an emergency.
Domestic Violence 24 hour helpline - 0808 2000 247
Women’s Aid -  They operate a discreet online chat where victims can find help and support: www.womensaid.org.uk

Rise - a Brighton based domestic abuse service: www.riseuk.org.uk
If you want to (and are in the financial position to) support further, then you could also make a donation to help these underfunded and vital services but the most important thing is  to please share this information so that potential victims know where to go for professional help and advice.

Skills Clubs at St Peter's suspended
18/03/2020 12:00 AM

In accordance with the government guidelines on social distancing, we have made the decision yesterday to suspend all of our external after school skills clubs for the time-being from Monday 23rd March.   We are sad to have to introduce these measures but due to government guidelines, we have made these decisions based on public safety.  We will notify parents when services can resume.  Thank you.

Please note: this DOES NOT currently impact on our daily After School Club, Coastal Kids, which is still currently up and running.  Karate will still run on 20th March, unless otherwise notified.

Reverse Advent Calendar
2/12/2019 12:00 AM

This Christmas, we are going to do a Reverse Advent Calendar; instead of receiving an Advent treat, we plan to donate one to our local food bank!  On any day in December, your child can bring in any of the following items, knowing they will go to a local community cause.  The Purple People Kitchen have given us a list of useful goods that are needed for the food bank.  They need coffee, tinned fish, tinned meat, tinned or packet soup, cook-in sauces, rice, pasta, cereals, biscuits and any long life food items.  They have suggested toiletries, washing detergent, toilet paper, nappies, baby wipes and sanitary items would also be very useful.
