This term in Nursery...
Summer Term: Our next exciting learning journey is ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’. This will focus around the colourful, award-winning children’s book all about a very hungry caterpillar that eats a number of foods each day of the week, until finally he cannot eat anymore and he starts to grow and change! For our ‘stunning start’ will be being busy gardeners for day. Over the half-term the children will be growing their own cress from seed, creating amazing artwork in the style of author and illustrator Eric Carle and making and tasting healthy caterpillar snacks! In the classroom we will be growing our very own butterflies from eggs and will be learning about the life-cycle of a caterpillar to a butterfly. We will be linking this to our own understanding of growth and changes over time..
