Year 1 and 2 - Rabbit Class
This term in Rabbit Class...
Happy New Year!
We will start off this year with our new topic called 'Extreme Explorers'. This will involve learning about significant historical individuals who have explored the Arctic and Antarctica. As part of the PSHE Jigsaw curriculum, we are focusing on the ‘Dreams and Goals’ unit by learning to select realistic goals, working as part of a team and developing our Persevering Penguins. In mathematics lessons, Year 1 are learning about place value, addition and subtraction with numbers up to 20. Year 2 are learning about money, multiplication and division. Writing this term will focus on instructions and core texts (can be seen on the class topic web).
Reminders
· I will teach the class every day, except Wednesday morning, when they will be taught by Mrs Mannion.
· PE is on Mondays and Wednesdays, so children must come to school wearing their PE kit in school.
· Book bags need to be brought into school everyday for class reading buddies. Books will be changed weekly on a Friday.
